Nepal, with its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture, has a lesser-known reality that tugs at our hearts: the high number of orphans within its borders. The alarming rates of children without parental care call for deeper exploration and compassionate action. As we embark on this "Journey of Hope," let us dive into the complexities of this issue, seeking to shed light on the root causes and work together towards a brighter future for these vulnerable children.

The statistics of orphaned children in Nepal are unsettling, with thousands of children facing life without their parents. According to the Central Children Welfare Council, there are around 13,281 abandoned and orphaned children in Nepal. Poverty, social disparities, natural disasters, and political instability have. collectively contributed to this crisis, leaving families torn apart and children vulnerable to a host of challenges.

Poverty remains one of the leading factors behind the increasing number of orphans in Nepal. Families living in poverty struggle to provide basic necessities and a stable environment for their children. Lacking access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities, parents often face heart-wrenching choices, leaving their children in search of better prospects.

Nepal's geographical location renders it prone to natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods, which can wreak havoc on families and communities. Children bear the brunt of such calamities, facing loss, displacement, and the emotional toll of trauma. Additionally, historical conflicts have left scars on communities, leading to separations and vulnerability for children.

To tackle the orphan crisis in Nepal effectively, a comprehensive understanding of its root causes is essential.
